After completing this session, participants will be able to:

  • Recognize which patients and families may benefit from a pediatric palliative care referral (PCP)
  • How to make a referral to the PCP unit at Lurie Children’s
  • Recognize when in the course of a live-threatening or live-shortening illness, palliative care offers the most benefit.
